Chinese Medicine is deeply connected with Dao. All the great doctors in Chinese history were either Daoist and/or Buddhist. Cultivating body, mind and spirit by practicing Qi Gong and meditation is a must.
During an intensive Qi Gong training in the Wudang mountains, master Yuan emphasized daily the importance of caring for the roots. He referred to training the lower part of the body: ankles, knees, hips, and legs. Then you stand firm and you will not harm your body. With proper movement and breathing you strengthen your body and calm your mind.
Master Yuan and his successors are among the main teachers of Ping and Taco in recent years. They have been teaching Qi Gong classes for more than 15 years and yearly organize a two-week Qi Gong/meditation retreat in Poland. In their own life, they practice the stretching exercises of Wudang with Five Animals Qi Gong, Ba Duan Jing, Yi Jin Jing, Ba Gua Zhang, and the Tai Chi Beijing 24 form. Also, they combine Qi Gong with Zen meditation. They have weekly classes of Qi Gong and Zen meditation in their clinic Ping Shu Yuan, in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Taco is Zen student of Tenkei Roshi, abbot of the Zen Buddhist training center Zen River in Uithuizen, Groningen, since 2002.
